The cottages are not suitable for anyone who is wheelchair bound but may be suitable to those who still have some mobility. Given the limitations of the lovely old barn we converted and building regulations, we did what we could as explained below.

The Car Park

The car park for all visitors is at the end of the garden area with a wheelchair friendly path to access into the main living areas to all cottages.

Access

Access to all the main doors except one, Owls Roost, can be achieved by wheelchairs requiring a small amount of hep to get over a curb. All the cottages have normal stairs with hand rails to get between floors except Woodcock which is totally ground floor oriented.

The Kitchen

The kitchen area in all the cottages are fully equipped, worktops at 900mm, wall units to 1800mm, with the appliances under worktop surfaces excluding the fridge-freezaers units which are tall cabinet based.

The Bathrooms

The bathrooms and en-suites are showers only with shower cubicle entrances averaging 370-400mm, WC average height of 450mm and washbasins averaging 800mm. We can supply non slip mates and a shower stool if required.
